The Big Design Trade is a dynamic event where discerning retail buyers can source distinctive new products created by small design-focused brands from Australia and overseas.
At The Big Design Trade, attendees will have access to a curated line-up of highly respected designers and makers of fashion accessories, ceramics, stationery, homewares, tech accessories, kids’ products and more, in an exclusively industry-only setting.

GETTING THERE
Shuttle bus:
A complimentary shuttle bus will operate between Meat Market and the Royal Exhibition Building, departing every 30 minutes from each venue. More information >>
Public transport:
Tram 59 leaves from Melbourne’s CBD on Elizabeth St, stopping at Royal Melbourne Hospital (stop 14) which is only a 3 minute walk from the venue.
Car:
On-street parking is limited so using one of the paid parking compounds near the venue is recommended.
Wilson Parking – 5 Flemington Road Car Park is only a few minutes walk from the venue. Entry to the carpark is via 33 Bedford Street, North Melbourne. (Maximum vehicle height: 2m)
REGISTRATION
All visitors must register on arrival at the Blackwood Street entrance. If you have not pre-registered for fast-track entry, you will be able to register on the day. Please note, you will be required to have an ABN to register for a Professional Pass. This event is for trade only.
CLOAKROOM
Visitors may leave large coats and luggage with our staff for safe-keeping in our cloakroom. Please enquire at The Big Design Trade information desk when you arrive.

FOOD AND DRINKS
Design is our first passion but food is definitely a close second, so we’ll be bringing our favourite coffee, food and drinks to The Big Design Trade. Earl Canteen will be serving their delicious fresh salads and sandwiches along with a selection of sweet treats, coffee and drinks. Alcoholic beverages will also be available.

The event is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible.
