The Ache
M.Collective
Touching the edges of intimacy, desire, transformation, and the space between longing and becoming.
‘The Ache’ is meditation on the space between wanting and having, where desire and transformation live and linger.
Holding space for our own ghosts, the weight of desires long gone, and potentials unfulfilled. Dreams and versions of ourselves hang in space next to us, living and tethered to our being. Selves only witnessed by a precious few.
We delve into the intimacy of oneself, of connection with others who live and dream alongside us, and with the versions of ourselves we long to become or never became. Desire exists in its many faces – visceral, motivating, torturing, guttural, burning, dripping and often uncomfortable.
‘The Ache’ sits in the quiet after fulfilment, the unrest before change, the grief of time past, and the boldness of taking up space to imagine more. What lies between the known and unknown, the self we know and the self we are yet to become?
Unapologetically, we allow space for desire as a driving force, and through this we become.
