Spotlight Series (Part of the Festival of the Unseen)

Do you have a song you need to sing out? Have you secretly been writing the world’s next literary masterpiece? Wanna make people giggle? Or do you want to try something new?

During our Festival of the Unseen, there will be four “open mic night” experiences, themed around:

• Piano Bar: Pianist available, all genres of music are welcome.
• New Work Showcase: Submit scripts, monologues, perform original songs, etc. You can perform it yourself or bring your own actor(s). There will also be four cold readers available if you would like to submit a sequence from a play.
• Comedy Night: Comedy open mic (stand up, music, parodies, improv etc)
• Variety Night: Anything you want (comedy, music, burlesque, circus, you name it!)

Each with its own fabulous host! Come join us for a great night, with a crowd of adoring, supportive friends (old and new).

We’re providing at least 2 corded microphones, a keyboard as well as an operator who will be able to play any music tracks (supplied in advance) and support your work with lighting on the fly. There will also be an accompanist for the Piano Bar and four cold readers for the New Work Showcase.

We’re taking registrations in advance but there will also be the opportunity for people to jump up on the night (in case inspiration strikes!). We do recommend registering though, as space is limited.

• Piano Bar – Saturday 18th of Feb (pianist available)

• Variety Night – Wednesday 1st of March
