Exhibition statement
How can material encounters act as a portal for a contemporary creative dialogue on the physical, emotional and metaphysical states of crossings where transitions, uncertainty, flux, impermanence, and re-configuration are negotiated as part of human existence. The solo and group exhibitions explore ideas on crossings within the context of diaspora as well as the wider community. A dynamic exchange becomes communicated in the absence of the body through material objects and traces.
