BEASTIES brings to life chimera creatures made of discarded materials to shine a light on the resilience and resistance of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This cross-cultural exhibition explores the darkness and beauty of being “other,” drawing powerful parallels between queer identity and the underworlds of monster mythologies.
Midsumma is Australia’s premier queer arts and cultural organisation, bringing together a diverse mix of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, communities and audiences.
Midsumma Festival 2026 will open on Sunday 18 January and run to Sunday 8 February 2026.
