MEAT MARKET STABLES
A unique venue for hire in Melbourne, the Stables is a rustic collection of three main rooms with concrete floors throughout, high ceilings, original and white brick walls and large windows that stream in an ample light. One of the more unique venues in the complex, the Stables has a multitude of unusual uses including set building, exhibitions, rehearsals, creative developments, filming, workshops, events and technically simple black box productions seating up to 100 people. The space is also ideal for rehearsals of major productions or as a temporary site for creative construction or manufacturing. The total coverage of the area is 442 sq. metres divided into three spaces (a 200 sq. metre room and two 100 sq. metre rooms) that can be used in various configurations to suit your event.
Nestled between the Pavilion and the Stables, the Garden is the perfect inclusion if you’d like to hire a venue and provide your guests with a comprehensive indoor and outdoor experience. The area can be configured with chairs and tables to provide seating for break out spaces, social rendezvous, al fresco lunches or drinks and can even be used for stalls as part of a market or other event.

Technical Specifications and Capacity
- Meat Market's Stables has a total capacity of 180 persons. If over 100 people are in the space, one roller door must remain open to facilitate access requirements.
Staffing and Special Requirements
- A venue supervisor may be required for hires taking place outside of business hours.
- The venue operates with a strictly enforced 11pm curfew. At 11pm house lights are turned on and all amplified sound must stop.

Cleaning is charged per pavilion, per day. An onsite cleaner can be arranged if required. Additional waste collection can be arranged and is charged as quoted by our supplier.
